EMPOWERMENT OF BACKWARD WOMEN THROUGH VARIOUS MICRO ENTERPRISES

Duration: 23 July 2008 (one year ) after one year project  continuous by revolving fund.

Goals:

  • To reduce their poverty condition

  • To solve their individual unemployment problem,

  • To elevate their human element through Training and prudential guidance on various issues of their welfare,

  • To emancipate the rural poor women from the clutches of selfish private moneylenders who charge heavy rates of unfair interests.

  • To organize these poor women for social change and improve their status in the society,

  • To standardize their income sources and avail the facilities for other needy women involvement in these trades and to develop their circumstances,

  • To improve the entrepreneurship,

  • To give equal opportunities to the other poor and needy men and women every year,

  • To ensure the work in coalition on the part of our organization and on the part of the beneficiaries.

  • To improve the living standards of the target women

Project Area: YERRAGUNTLA (in Kadapa District of Andhra Pradesh)

Implementation:

Demonstration of the ProgramThe target people will have self-employment occupation and they will be in a position to live in improved conditions themselves.

Poor disadvantaged women who have no support from other source will get an opportunity to utilize their Grant and take-up various income generation activities independently to improve their living conditions.

 Their understanding level will be increased.

 Their horizon of ignorance and superstitions will be reduced to good extent.

 

Total number of beneficiaries 31.

 

The target group women shall repay the loan amount i.e., initial support in easy and convenient installments. The collected amount will be deposited in the Bank.    It will take 24 months to clear off the entire amount the interest is 1%.

The poor widows, destitute, financially disadvantaged house wives, divorced women and   orthopedically handicapped women who are suppressed by the male dominance will be directly involved in the decision making process and implementation process and start their Income Generation activities (Micro Enterprises) as follows
